What we migrate, product by product
"Free migration" means different things at different hosts. Here is precisely what ours covers for each product.
Websites & web hosting
Full site files copied over, databases dumped and restored with users and character sets intact, and configuration such as PHP version and cron jobs recreated. The migrated copy runs on a staging URL so you can click through it before any visitor is sent there.
Web hostingWordPress & CMS sites
A WordPress-specific flow: core, themes, plugins, uploads, and database moved together, with serialised URLs in the database rewritten safely rather than by blind find-and-replace. Ghost and Strapi installs are moved with their content and configuration the same way.
CMS hostingEmail accounts
Mailboxes copied over IMAP with folders, messages, and read state preserved. We run parallel MX handling during DNS propagation so mail arriving mid-switch is delivered, then perform a final re-sync so nothing sent to the old server is lost.
Email hostingDatabases
MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis data moved via dump and restore, with users, permissions, and extensions recreated on the managed platform. We verify row counts and schema before you point your application at the new connection string.
Managed databasesGame servers
World files, player data, saves, plugins, mods, and server configs uploaded to your new server and verified to boot cleanly. You keep playing on the old server until the new one is confirmed working, then share the new address with your community.
Game serversEverything lands in the UK
Whatever we migrate ends up in our London datacentre on NVMe storage, with daily backups stored in the UK, free SSL issued for your domains, and DDoS protection enabled from the first minute.

The trick to a downtime-free migration is that there is never a moment when no server can answer. Both hosts stay live until the switch is complete.

Copy while live
We copy files, databases, and mail to HostPanel while your existing host keeps serving visitors as normal. Nothing is touched on the old server.

Verify on a staging URL
You browse the migrated copy on a preview address and confirm pages, logins, checkouts, and forms behave. Problems get fixed before anyone else sees them.

Lower TTL, final sync
We drop your DNS TTL so the switch propagates in minutes rather than hours, then run a final sync to capture orders, posts, and emails created since the first copy.

Switch DNS
DNS is updated to point at HostPanel. The old host answers remaining cached lookups while new ones arrive here, so there is no window where the site is down.

How the assisted migration works

Assisted, not DIY
You hand over access, we do the move. No wrestling with FTP clients, database exports, or DNS records unless you want to be involved.
Test before you switch
Your migrated site runs on our infrastructure alongside the old one. You check it works before any DNS changes, so nothing is switched on faith.
Zero-downtime cutover
We lower DNS TTLs in advance, sync a final time, then switch. Your old host keeps serving until the moment the new one takes over.
Email moved too
Mailboxes are migrated over IMAP with folder structure intact, and MX records are handled so mail keeps arriving throughout the move.
Databases done properly
Dumped, restored, and verified, with character sets and users recreated. For WordPress, serialised URLs in the database are rewritten safely.

What we do
Migrate your existing site, data, email, and game worlds into HostPanel exactly as they are, verify the result, and manage the DNS cutover. If something needs a small configuration change to run here, such as a PHP setting or a connection string, we make it and tell you what changed.
What we don't
We don't refactor or rewrite application code, redesign sites, fix pre-existing bugs, or force upgrades between incompatible software versions. If your application genuinely can't run on modern infrastructure without code changes, we'll tell you precisely what's needed instead of leaving you to discover it later.
